Bio:
Friends
Bill Hitchkens: They met while working at Kel Tec. Bill has since left the company and sells equipment to hospitals. He is a positive man who is never without a smile. Gustav resents the fact that Bill found a job that seems to involve helping people rather than hurting them.
Albert Luftkins: Albert is Gustav’s current boss. Gustav respects Albert a great deal for his fair and tempered responses to problems. They have gone out drinking enough times for Gustav to know that Albert genuinely feels the company is doing good work protecting the people who they sell to.Gustav wonder’s how such a smart guy can still be so invested in something like gun sales.
Masier Karl: He is Gustav’s neighbor. Masier is in his late 60’s and Gustav often helps him move furniture or haul groceries up the stars. Gustav hasn’t been able to place Masier’s accent, but it is from somewhere outside the United States. Gustav generally assumes that Masier’s strange attitudes and sayings are a result of cultural differences, rather than Masier going senile. The apartments that they live in are not inexpensive and Gustav wonders how Masier can afford to live there since he no longer works.
Nathan Brimsfield: Nathan is a local parts vender that Gustav often meets when he needs and obscure piece for something he is working on. They trade secrets about getting gears and cogs to move freely again. Gustav rarely sees him outside of the shop, named rather inventively “Nathan’s Hobby Shop”. Gustav is often sad that he doesn’t see more of Nathan, he thinks they could be close friends.
